| MAPLE RIDGE CHURCH PLANT
Every church was planted at some point, and every church is - by its very nature - a missionary organization. Jesus instructed us to "Go and make disciples..." and go we must, for there are so many people in our cities who are still lost in their sin and not enough churches where people can hear the good news of Jesus.
We have been sensing a call to plant in Maple Ridge for a few years now, but last spring we began talking more specifically about what it could look like and asked the church to pray for God's leading and provision. This year, we are beginning to move forward with a more detailed plan of how we hope to plant this new church in the Ridge Meadows area. To find out more about how God is leading us, we invite you to watch the Vision Sermon below along with the recording of our church's Vision Meeting from April 27.
Here is a snapshot of the plan as we have it so far:
-
We plan to plant a new church in Maple Ridge that will be led by Matt Glezos and share resources and leadership with TriCity Church.
-
We anticipate that the two churches will stay closely connected for 3–4 years until both are strong and vibrant.
-
TriCity’s leadership team (elders, staff, and lead pastor) will remain in place to guide both churches during the planting, growth, and multiplication stages.
-
We will work to raise up and hire new leaders to support both congregations.
-
We will be partnering with Northview Community Church.
-
Our aim is to launch in Fall 2026.
Romans 10:14-15
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
